It's been a dodgy day

December 22nd 2008 05:57
Hat

It’s been a dodgy day, so far I've:

Almost rang death’s doorbell by choking. Being a resourceful girl I regurgitated my coffee back into the mug to stop me from dying in front of the computer screen. Delightful.

Then to get rid of the coffee taste, I swilled and somehow then swallowed enough mouthwash to annihilate all germ epidemics. Not recommended, not even by enthusiastic dentists.

Tripped over my dog’s left foot, causing toe damage -- to me not him. Now I have an unfortunate limp.

Sat in my car, turned the music up, changed gears and waited to move. Then realised the engine wasn’t on. As Morrissey said: ‘such a little thing, but the difference it makes was grave.’

Bought two copies of a book on E-bay that I already have on my bookshelf.

Ah well, I’m going back to bed.

Hahahahahahahahhahaha!

Oh Trace you silly sausage!

It's a given that these things will happen to you, so at least you are getting it all over with before Christmas!

I hope it's a good one, without any tears... or falls... or bumps... or moments of madness!

But then the best Christmas Days are always a bit mad.

By the way - I have done the same thing with the book buying as you... three times. You'd think I would learn, but no, I get into the frenzy of online book buying and it's click, click, click on anything and everything!

Stay out of trouble (if at all possible) until the phase of the moon changes, or whatever it is that causes these periodic times of strife!

Hi Mich

So, I'm not alone in my multiple on-line purchases? Nice to have some company!

Yes, I am a sausage of silliness...I'm not even rushing or stressed or anything like that...

Hope you have a great Christmas, Mich, it's always good to see you,

Trace x

One of those day eh? I wonder why these things all happen at once.

Re book buying, Yes I have bought books that i have already read. Sometimes I think they trick you by putting another cover on it.

Its not until I start reading I suddenly realise it sounds familiar.

Hope you have a great christmas

Hi Carmen

Hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family.

It's cathartic to let it all out isn't it?!

Oh dear! Hope it's been much much better ever since, Tracy.

Tripping over the dog and buying the same books...hmmm, I can so relate to that! Glad to know I'm not the only one

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

p/s...did Fergal give you a glare or a sorry-look when you tripped?

Hi Lara

Things have been much smoother since that day, all my clumsiness has been used up, phew.

Welcome to the: 'we bought several copies of the same book' club, you're in fine company

Aw, Fergal is such an angel, he just looked confused. I gave him some food just in case though.

Hope you had a great Christmas, best wishes for the new year (but where did the old one go?),

Byee x
