Just flitting around......

Ahhhh, my morning routine has drastically changed....well, my whole day routine has changed but it’s the morning session that I’m really missing. Our Internet isn’t working at home so I can no longer sit at my computer reading new Orble posts with my pooch on my lap and my morning cuppa before stating work. Eeek!

It’s OK, I’ve decided this will be an opportunity for me use different resources and ‘embrace’ all the changes. I will read the newspaper for cinema times, I can flick the telly on for a weather report (and endure mainstream media), I will pick up a dictionary to check a spelling, and I will stay with my thoughts instead of roaming the Internet for inspiration. It’s OK.

And it’s teaching me much about my 'healthy dedication' to Orble. That has to be another good thing…surely….I seem to have more time….hmmm….and I don’t feel left out of the Orble loop, no, not at all…I don’t miss all the socialness of chatting, yes that isn’t a word, but so what. No, I don’t feel lonely….nah….. Like I said there are so many positives…..and as for emailing friends, well that’s just procrastination isn’t it? Yet, more time is being accrued….so what shall I do with all this time…? More work I suppose....

Well, it's only been a day and while all those things have their merits, so far I've nipped up the road to our local cheap Internoodle Cafe yesterday afternoon and this morning I'm at uni with a hot chocolate. But I’m OK….I have the ‘blessing’ of time....

So, until normal Internet service is resumed at home, I’ll only be flitting around Orble…..

Oh, I don't think I'd survive without my net!! I'm such an internet junkie, but it has its benefits... And without my morning routine? Forget about it... I'd lose my mind! (assuming I haven't already). I'm glad you're still finding ways to pop in here and there, and that you're making good use of the time available... but I'll be more glad when your connection is up and running and you share your insights with the pooch in the lap!

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your comments, it's great to hear from you all.

It seems like it'll be a few more days at least until the computer gets fixed....hmmm, it's a technical hitch that I know nothing about so we have to get some expert in....the other applications work, just not the Internoodle.....huh...sounds like a conspiracy to me...

I'm learning much about Internet Cafe etiquette and have noticed that I have some interesting and probably inappropriate responses when reading emails and Orbling...I laugh (I think that's OK, but it's weirdly quiet in here), snort (I have a cold) and I answer out loud to some of the posts (no-one else is making a sound, what's wrong with them).....and there is no music in here....and sometimes I hum...I don't even do that at home so I have no idea where that came from...

Anyhooo, I'm still flitting around and keeping in the loop, thanks again for saying hello....

I'm retracting my comment about it being quiet in here, two people next to me are talking as though they are at home....I hope they're not reading over my shoulder as I write this, I always get a bit suspicious when there are two people at one computer.....eyes have to land somewhere....

Tracy, I hope you get your comp up and running soon at home...I'm new here and have already started a new morning "routine"myself, a cup of hot coffee, my dog laying at my feet and my perusal of Orble blogs and comments! However, I can't even imagine MY hysterical laugh disturbing the relative peace and calm at an internet cafe lol Surely they'd put my ass out....
