Top 10 people on telly that annoy me
August 16th 2007 11:21
Well, my non-chirpiness is continuing not diminishing as you would think it would, but to be honest I'm having fun.
At the risk of sounding even more like a miserable git I thought I would go with David's suggestion of a top 10 of people that annoy me on telly, thanks as always David.
Again, I’m not going to I’m not going to justify why they bother me; they just do so I’m simply going to list them. I thought I would name people rather than programs, as sometimes the program is alright and the person is as annoying as hell.
Hmm, as I wrote the list I realised I’ve changed my mind, sometimes I can’t stand the whole program so I’ve included those....
Feel free to join me in my non-joy of the television world.
So here we go:
Tim Wotsit – Channel 10’s weather man
The whole crew of Today Tonight
The whole crew of A Current Afflair
Kerri-anne Wotsit
Lisa Wilkinson - Today
David and Kim – 9am
Mark Holden – Australian Idol
The whole cast of Neighbours
David Letterman
This is your day with Benny Hinn
I’m sure there are many more but I still want you to like me so I’ll stop there even though I was only up to Tuesday in the telly guide...imagine how long the list would be if I did the whole week.
What a chirpy little soul I am the last couple of days.

I think I have a fiendish streak that comes out in blogging.....ah yes, Richard Wilkins, he drives me nutty too. Did you read my post on his feet? Here it is if you feel like a look...he had quite an arrogant demeanour.

Maybe that's because I don't watch much TV, prefer specially chosen CNN videos, as you see.
I think you've been a little harsh. Although it is easy to forget that a lot have escaped your ire.
Poor Lisa W. I think she is quite pleasant but suspect, off air, some of that may vanish.
I think too many of them are more impressed with their money and 'position'. Maybe now I'm being too harsh.
TV is all a bit like 'kindergarten of the air' for adults, isn't it?
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just sitting here waiting for the money to roll in. There'll have to be a dramatic shift [unrelated to the shift key on the computer keyboard] as at present it scarcely and unreliably drips in cent by cent.
I'm off to audition for the Today/Tonight show, cleaning the coffee machine, at least that pays and sometimes we have to start at the bottom, I've got great ideas relating to my TV career tho.

Rove McManhandleus (the new Ray Martin). So far up himself there's a danger he'll turn inside out on air one day.
Gretel Killeenus with your slutty look. (I wouldn't touch her with Norm's body).
Kristi Malthouse (the credible football journo [boundary rider] who just happens to be the daugther of an AFL coach).
Denis Cometti (about as smooth tongued as a fellating lizard).
Lou Richards (passed his use-by date in the womb).
Any host of a regular TV show between the hours of 6am and 8.30pm. (George "Fanny Face" Doneikien, Andrew Jarman, Jane Reilly, any Adelaide TV personality, and bimbos with high-pitched squealy bogan voices doing news /weather reports).
Nearly forgot Eddie McGuire.

Bert Newton.
I am sick of his big scary over plasticised moonface on my television.
Cheers

PS. Daryl Somers comes a close 2nd.

The entire cast of neighbours?
Not even Harold's 65th wobbling chin appeals to you?
This is more serious than I thought!

I tend to watch Foxtail more than normal telly but there are a few characters on it that vex me. And seeing as they are very unlikely to read this blog, I don’t think I can offend them.
That’s a good way of describing telly: TV is all a bit like 'kindergarten of the air' for adults, isn't it?
I don’t take it too seriously but some things do bother me.

I nearly included Rove but then I wasn’t quite sure so I gave him the benefit of my generosity. Aren’t I kind after all? I also thought of Gretel but at the same time she is witty but she is a puppet with Big Brother controlling her and I don’t like that and their publicity stunts. So my decision is undecided. She does seem a bit big for her shoes though. I know I didn’t explain that very well but I’m weary.
I don’t know these three: Kristi Malthouse, Denis Cometti and Lou Richards but I’m happy to believe you.
Yes, I noticed that most of my annoying contenders were either on in the morning or related to the media. And that’s a subject that I could complain about for ages. I’ll leave it for now as people are already thinking I’m a moaning minnie (imagine if they knew I love Morrissey).
I agree with you about Eddie McGuire. I don’t think we need to say any more.....

I was undecided when I wrote the post about Koshy (however his name is spelt), but now I’ve decided, he’s galling.
As I said to David, I’m undecided about Gretel....can't make my mind up. One minute she's too cocky and then other times I think she's witty. Ah well, I don't have to decide now.
Thanks for joining in the joy,
Tracy
